Snowshoeing adventure
So yesterday is the first day that I (Alyssa) have ever been snowshoeing. Now, this is a totally worthwhile experience and I had fun, but lets just say I have had a real tough time moving today. Apparently I need to get a whole lot more exercise in. I went to this place in Merrimack, NH with Oliver and Winters and it was the perfect day for doing "snow stuff". For those that don't live in this area, we got about a foot of nice powdery snow Saturday night into Sunday morning that was just perfect for outdoor activities (and for catching me when I tripped over my show shoes :) ) On a more annoying note, I am currently trying to figure out why PSNH is trying to rip us off. Our electric bill jumped over $30 this month and is $20 more than it was last year at this time with the same usage. I can't seem to find any explanation about a rate change and it's really annoying me because I've been going somewhat cold to save electricity. Perhaps I should stop watching TV and using my computer at the same time...concept...

Hi! Saw your comment re the bill and thought I'd reply.
We did make a mistake with a bunch of bills recently; yours could be one of them. Check to see if it says 'estimated reading' on it.
There's an explanation of the issue at this page: http://tinyurl.com/8de4kl
Also, if any of the bill applies to usage during January 2009 there IS a recent rate increase which applies.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news - but, perhaps the 'estimated reading' is good in your case.
Best regards,
M Murray, PSNH.
