Interesting week...

So I did know this before, but cats and Christmas trees do not mix. Apparently Max does not want anything to stay on the tree because we keep coming home (or waking up) to find a new thing on the floor. Today he broke a bulb. I don't know what it is about that cat. He's got all the toys in the world and he still needs to tear things apart and be places he's not supposed to be. I know some of it is boredom, but I am just not getting another cat. Ok, enough of my ranting about that...this week has been an interesting and no so great week. I started taking a new med on friday, which I have since stopped, and literally felt like I was being poisoned! I obviously have never been poisoned before, but if I had, it wouldn't surprise me if that is what it felt like. I wasn't even that sick when I had food poisoning. So needless to say, the weekend was not very productive. I had to call out sick on monday because I was still sick (even though I had stopped the med on sunday). It's wednesday and I'm just starting to feel a little normal again. However, on that note, because I can't do the med, I decided to try changing my diet to see if that helped. Now, don't get me wrong, I do believe it will in the long run, but oh my gosh! I'm sure glad my co-workers have great senses of humor, cause I have not been fun to be around the past two days. I did not know you can actually have withdrawal from a food group, but apparently you can and it makes you quite grumpy. I guess it's almost a good sign though, because that means that it is having an effect. However, if it turns out that I can't eat gluten anymore, I'm going to be depressed because there are way too many yummy things in the world that contain it. I'm on a mission right now to find yummy things that don't contain it. A co-worker is trying to get me to give up sugar too, but one thing at a time...oh a world without chocolate...I don't know if I could stand it...LOL. But hey, if I start feeling better, then maybe it will all be worth it. I have been sick for years and it's just not a way to live life...
On a different note, New England weather never ceases to surprise me. Monday it was in the single digits I believe, and then today it was in the high 50's and raining. Then tomorrow will possibly bring sleet and rain as well as friday. All I can say is I'm hoping for a school cancellation. I know I've already had a day off this week, but it wasn't exactly very restful...I'm at the point where I need a new bunch of kids. I do love some of the ones I have now, but the freshmen are killing me...slowly but surely. I don't know what they're putting in these kids water, but they sure do need a vacation and so do I. Alright, now that I've written a book, back to watching Winnie the Pooh and Christmas Too!

Doritos and cheesecake are gluten-free! I can help with non-dairy, but I'm not much help with the non-gluten...hope that you feel better. Hang in there, this time of year always sucks...it ends quickly!
